Matthew has been building software for a long time. In 2001, he created Collective2, the world's first platform where anyone could publish a trading strategy and anyone else could follow it with real money — years before "social trading" entered the lexicon. C2 pioneered autotrading, strategy verification, and transparent track records.

In his other, not-so-secret life, Matthew has been a novelist. His novels have been called "beautifully plotted, fiendishly clever" (Washington Post); "funny, full of tricks and very, very hard to put down" (New York Times); and "wonderful" (Booklist). Oh and also "stupid trash" (sweetie23, Goodreads reviewer).

Matthew graduated from Yale, dropped out of Stanford, lives in New York, and fails at 86% of the stupid things he tries. Fling Baby is Matthew's latest project.
